Busy? You’re not the only one. Here are my tips to find balance in your schedule and stay active. You’ll thank me later.
My top three tips for staying active at the moment:
1) Get off social media! I am guilty of this too, and although it’s great for that bit motivation or inspiration, it’s a slippery slope once you’ve been on there for a long time. We all have that same excuse: there isn’t enough hours in the day! But have you checked the battery percentage on your phone to see how much screen time you’re fitting in? I bet you’ll be shocked – you could have probably squeezed in three workouts just from your time spent scrolling on Insta alone.
2) Do something you love and it won’t feel like exercise. Or try something new and you will be so focused on coordinating a new movement you won’t even realize your exercising.
3) Know that you don’t need an hour to workout. You can do so much for your mind and body in 30, 20 or even 10 minutes. Whether it’s a home Pilates program, a quick jog or a mini circuit, something is always better than nothing and not everyday has to be a hardcore sweat sesh. Your body will thank you for a day of some more mindful movement.
